How to find a spouse's name on the Florida Marriage Index at Ancestry.com

1. Click on the Florida Marriage Index
2. Plug in a name and click "Search." A list of candidates appears.
3. Click "View Record." A new page opens.
4. Look for the "Certificate;" 5th item down on the left of the thumbnail graphic, and click on the number. Another page opens, showing both parties to the marriage associated with that certificate number.

In Florida, marriage records for the twentieth century are more easily obtained than birth and death records. They can be very informative, and may lead you to additional sources of family information. The indexes in the table below are thought to be reasonably complete for the periods listed. The transcripts, however, are quite incomplete.
