 Foundations of Family History

Discovering your origins can be an enjoyable and rewarding adventure with an expert to guide you around and over the brick walls. This class is an introductory, yet comprehensive overview of genealogy in principle and in practice, conducted by William J. Zehner, CGSM. Six topics will get you off and running on your family history research:

  • Organization & note taking
  • 20th Century record sources
  • 19th Century record sources
  • Repositories in your home town
  • Internet
Not sure those ancestors you found on the Internet are really yours? Stumped by conflicting dates? Not sure what records hold the answer to your next discovery? Bay County Genealogical Society Annual Seminar


 Moving Back

The Bay County Genealogical Society will present an intermediate-level seminar featuring four timely topics focusing on using the Internet for genealogical research. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.
